Name: Jack Ian Ahearn Alignment: Warlock Position: Leader Age: 29 DOB: 7/31/78 Sexuality: Very much openly gay. Occupation: Manager of The Skyfive Hotel and Casino Powers: Jack is a highy skilled Warlock, that has been training for over 20 years. Weaknesses: Jack is terrified of fire. He jokes that he was probably burned at the stake in a past life. Some might call him a pacifist to a fault, though Jack doesn't see the harm in wanting peace among the covens. He tends to act and then think, when he's angry.
Jack Ahearn spent the first seven years of his life normal, in Middle America. He was born and raised in Ohio. That was until his seventh birthday, when, after cake and presents, his uncle Luther pulled him to the side. Jack was upset that his uncle didn't give him a present. Luther explained that was because he had something more important for the boy, an offer to teach him.
Luther went on to tell Jack the truth about his family. That the Ahearn family was very good at producing magically inclined boys. Warlocks, and Luther was one himself. Luther had decided that Jack showed a great promise in that department. Jack didn't ask how his uncle knew, he just went along with it, and decided that being a warlock sounded pretty cool to him. Before he knew it, he was whisked off to live and train under his uncle's tutelage at his estate on Long Island.
Luther's teaching methods wouldn't be condoned by most, as they often followed a rather sadistic reward/punishment system, but he trained his nephew well. When another warlock of a rival clan murdered Luther, Jack, then aged seventeen, made sure the man suffered greatly before his death. The man was definitely surprised to die a painful death at the hands of a teenager. Jack, for his part, was pretty surprised
Jack's power scared him, that day, as he watched a man suffer and die at his feet. For six years, he refused to use what he learned under his uncle. He remained at the estate, left to him by Luther. He didn't go out, at all. He had considerable money thanks to his uncle, and the servants did all the shopping for him.
Six years and three months after Luther's death, Jack heard about Crimson, New Jersey. Intrigued by the idea of a city that welcomed all of the strange ones like himself, the supernatural, and where they lived in relative peace together. That was six years ago. In that time, Jack has rose quickly in the ranks among the Warlocks to become their leader.
His biggest desire is for peace. His second is for the safety of his supernatural breathern in Crimson.
